series of tree photogravure prints, 54 x 38 cm. printed on 350 gr. Hahnemühle paper. Limited edition of 6. Signed and numbered This series pays homage to Sigwart Wilhelm Theodor Werner (1852-1959), a Danish amateur photographer who gained shortlived fame through his artistic, manipulated landscape photographs, presented in selfpublished books between the years 1927 and 1940. This series seems to oscillate between past, present and future; between modern enthusiasm and a postmodern irony, between hope and melancholy, between naiveté and knowingness, empathy and apathy, unity and plurality, totality and fragmentation.
